A learned man with life experience, Dr. Harris R. Cohen treated patients in his private chiropractic office for more than 25 years. During this time, Dr. Cohen listened carefully to their health issues which more often than not translated into emotional issues. In the process, he observed that his patients inundated themselves with negative messages which prevented them from moving forward in their lives and in their health. He began talking about” negotiating “with themselves to reach the right choice that would provide them a happier and healthier lifestyle.
In addition to his thriving practice, his professional career included: Assistant Prof. of Clinical Sciences-University of Bridgeport, Assistant Prof. of Clinical Sciences-New York Chiropractic College, lecturer-Suffolk County Police Department, pharmaceutical representative-Ross laboratories, teacher-junior high and high school biology and chemistry, Cantor-mastic beach Hebrew center and teacher at the yeshiva of Suffolk County.
Dr. Cohen has also had an impressive formal education with the following degrees: Dr. of chiropractic-New York Chiropractic College,MS in human sciences-CW Post College, and BA in biology-Hartwick College. In addition, he has been trained in communications with advanced certificates in the Neurolinguistic Programming. He has also been certified as an EMT, AEMT and CPR instructor trainer.
He is the recipient of numerous honors and awards including Dean's list-Hartwick College and New York Chiropractic College, Presidents award-New York Chiropractic College, Clinic award and Director Assistance award-New York Chiropractic College. He has been Chiropractor of the year and Parker Associate Lecturer award-Parker chiropractic school.
He lives on the East end of Long Island with his wife Corinne, who he considers the love of his life.
